Abortion

I am sure you are all aware of the abortion doctor who was killed that was one of three clinics, where someone could have a late term abortion. Well to be upfront, I will go ahead and say that I am against abortion and I feel that it is one of those things where Christians can not compromise or give up the fight for human life.

As I read the article in the USA Today, I started reading over some of the comments from anti-abortion extremist who use violence to justify their means. Eric Rudolph is brought to my mind, who was eventually captured for the bombing of an abortion clinic amongst other things.

All of this made me sit back and wrestle with some stuff in my mind because I am agaisnt abortion and agaisnt violence towards those who perform abortions, but I am ok with the war on terror. The reason being that with events like 9/11, we as a country and Christians are outraged at what took place and believe we are justified in going to war and killing because innocent lives were taken. But when it comes to abortion, we are supposed to sit back peacefully and fight. WHY? This one doctor, who has been murdered, took the lives of tens of thousands innocent babies and we pretty much sat back, watched, and complained a little bit and maybe voted agaisnt it.

Now, I am not advocating violence or saying that what happend to the doctor was the right thing, but what I am saying is that something has to be done and I am not sure it is being done the right way. Perhaps what is most sad in this particular case is that the doctor will more than likely hailed as a hero when in reality he represents the crap of this world that we all are without Jesus Christ. Yes, I realize this man was a deacon in his church, where he was shot, but so were a lot of other people who are sitting in hell right now.
